Goose Goslin Type IV Photo

Price: $125.00

Type IV Photograph. 1970. Near Fine.

Black and white photo of Goose Goslin in his Detroit Tigers uniform, with "Goose Goslin" written in print and cursive and "H.G. 'Herb' Havens / Mr. Baseball" address stamped to verso. Encased in a PSA slab ("Type IV / Authentic"). Near fine, with yellow tape residue to verso, slightly visible on recto. Overall, a handsome action photo. Leon Allen "Goose" Goslin - so nicknamed for the awkward arm-flapping movements he made while tracking down fly balls - played in the major leagues from 1921 to 1938 and was a key member of two World Series teams - the Washington Senators in 1924 and the Detroit Tigers in 1935. A remarkable hitter, he batted over .300 in 11 seasons. He was inducted into the National Hall of Fame in 1968. Item #GGO001
