Winter / 29 Oct 1982". Publisher's purple pictorial wrappers, lettered in yellow and white. About fine, with very light wear to spine ends and wrapper edges. Overall, a great, sharp copy. In this slim work (128 pp.), writer and critic Douglas E. Winter analyzes some of Stephen King's greatest novels, including Carrie, Salem's Lot, The Shining, The Stand, The Dead Zone, and Firestarter. Additionally, the work features a chronology of King's life and a bibliography. Horror novelist and occasional King collaborator, Peter Straub, wrote of the book, "[Winter] has taught me new things about the novels of Stephen King, just when I was no longer sure that was possible."
