Overall, a sound copy. Sean O'Faolain's autobiography details his tumultuous life. Named for scribblings O'Faolain saw in Paris, "vivé moi" translates to "long live me," a tongue-in-cheek joke about the little triumphs of mundane life. Starting with his boyhood as the son of a poor policeman, the autobiography follows O'Faolain as he fights in the Irish War of Independence, studies at Harvard, and eventually returns home to Ireland. The book gives readers an intimate window into the life of one of the influential figures of Irish culture in the 20th century. Item #OFAO01
