Limited first edition ("Collector Edition"). Signed by Mantle in gold marker on the front board, in the central gilt-ruled square. Additionally signed by Mantle's agent and romantic partner Greer Johnson in gold marker at the bottom of front board: "Greer Johnson Collection 14/129". With Greer Johnson Enterprises Corporate Seal embossed on title page, and "All American Authentication" and "GJC" authentication holograms. Publisher's navy blue morocco, lettered and ruled in gilt. About fine, with a couple of very light bumps to top edges of boards. Overall, a wonderful copy. My Favorite Summer 1956 is Mickey Mantle's autobiographical reflection of the 1956 New York Yankees baseball season. That year Mantle won the triple crown (batting .353, 52 home runs and 130 RBIs) and the American League MVP and led the Yankees to a World Series championship over the Brooklyn Dodgers, which included assisting Don Larsen to pitch a perfect game 5. Greer Johnson was Mickey Mantle's business agent and romantic partner from the mid-1980s until his death in 1995 (Mickey and his wife Merlyn Mantle never divorced, but the two separated in 1980).
