Overall, a wonderful array of Mets signatures. The "greatest game ever played" that the title of this book refers to is Game 6 of the 1986 NL Championship Series between the New York Mets and the Houston Astros, which the Mets won after a 16-inning marathon. The Mets continued their magical playoff run that postseason by defeating the Boston Red Sox in seven games to claim the World Series title.
