Good plus, with light rubbing to joints, spine ends, board edges, and corners, gilt very bright on front board, previous owner's inscription to front pastedown, light thumbsoiling to front endpapers, some tearing to last two ad pages (uncut) at back of book, and cracked rear hinge with old tape repair. Overall, a very presentable copy. This volume contains three nautical short stories by Conrad. "Falk" is about a tugboat master whose terrible secret prevents him from properly courting the woman with whom he is in love. "Amy Foster" tells the story of an emigrated Pole adjusting to her new life in England, and "To-morrow" tells of the homecoming of an aging sailor's long-lost son. These three are the "other stories" in Heinemann's Typhoon, and Other Stories (1903). Because Putnam owned the rights to "Typhoon," McClure published these three stories separately. Item #JC068
