Based on the First Folio edition of 1623, this special edition of The Tempest was published as the fifth volume in a series of annual Shakespearian keepsakes prepared for the friends of the publishers. A comedy, this play tells the story of Prospero, the rightful Duke of Milan living on a remote island, as he schemes to restore his daughter Miranda to her rightful position. Notably, The Tempest is considered the last play Shakespeare wrote alone.
