A history, this play is based on the life and times of King Henry V of England and pays specific attention to the events leading up to the 1415 Battle of Agincourt, a major English victory during the Hundred Years War. King Henry V is the fourth volume in Shakespeare's historical tetralogy that also includes King Richard II, King Henry IV Part 1, and King Henry IV Part 2.
