Publisher's pictorial wire-stitched wrappers, printed in black and white, and lettered in black. About fine, with a touch of edgewear to wrappers. Overall, a fresh copy. This collection features 14 short experimental works by Burroughs, with additional essays by Alan Ansen and Paul Bowles. The works first appeared in print in various publications between 1959 and 1965. Some of the titles include: "Unfinished Cigarette," "From a Distant Hand Lifted," "The Conspiracy," "The Danish Operation," "The Cut," and "Ancient Face Gone Out." "The Conspiracy" was originally intended to be a chapter in Naked Lunch (1959) but Burroughs ultimately cut it. Item #WB052
