Black and white photo of uniformed Ty Cobb, mid-swing. Signed and inscribed by Cobb in blue ink: "To Bob / From / Ty Cobb / 5/13/1959." Encased in a PSA slab, with a Gem Mint 10 grade. About fine photo, with a small closed tear to bottom edge, and some tape to top of verso. Overall, a fantastic, boldly signed photo. A controversial figure due to his ruthless win-at-all-costs mentality, Ty Cobb (1886 - 1961) is undoubtedly one of the very best MLB players of all time. Over his 24 years in the major leagues, he set 90 career or season records, including an incredible career batting average of .366, and 12 batting titles. He was one of the first five members inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1936, the other four being Babe Ruth, Honus Wagner, Christy Mathewson, and Walter Johnson. Item #TCOBB006
