Overall, a lovely copy of a classic Roald Dahl book. Fantastic Mr. Fox tells the story of a wily fox who routinely outwits three farmers - Boggis, Bunce and Bean - stealing food from their farms and bringing it back to his family. The three farmers, obsessed with exacting revenge on Mr. Fox, trap the fox underground. Mr. Fox comes up with a plan to steal from the farms via underground tunnels and gathers enough livestock and cider to put on a massive feast for all the underground animals. The book was adapted into a 2009 stop-motion film directed by Wes Anderson and featuring the voices of Bill Murray, George Clooney and Meryl Streep. It was also adapted into an opera, a 2019 recording of which received a Grammy Award for Best Opera Recording. Notably, it is believed that the US edition was published earlier than the UK edition, making this copy a true first edition. Item #RD020
