"Blackmailers Don't Shoot," "Guns at Cyrano's" and "Nevada Glass"; Five Sinister Characters contains "Trouble is My Business," "Pearls are A Nuisance," "I'll Be Waiting," "The King in Yellow," and "Red Wind"; and The Finger Man includes "Finger Man," "The Bronze Door," "Smart-Aleck Kill," and "The Simple Art of Murder." Notably, these volumes comprise the first book appearances for all of the aforementioned short stories, with the sole exception being "The Simple Art of Murder."
