Yankees v. Braves World Series Clincher Game 4 Ticket (1999)

Fine.

October 27, 1999. Single game ticket. Inscribed by Mariano Rivera in blue marker: "Mariano Rivera / 99 W. S. MVP." Original blue and white ticket, printed in red, green, and orange, with $300 seat price. Fine. Overall, a beautiful example, inscribed by the World Series MVP. In the 1999 World Series, the New York Yankees swept the Atlanta Braves in four games, making the Yankees back-to-back champions, and giving the famed club its 25th World Series title overall. Mariano Rivera was named the World Series MVP for his masterful relief pitching (the Braves, known for their strong hitting, batted only .200 in the four-game series). Interestingly, Rivera is the only player to record the final out in three straight World Series (1998, 1999, and 2000). "The Sandman" played his entire nineteen-year career with the Yankees and holds records for total saves (652) and games finished (952). In 2019, he was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame and received the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
