About near fine with light rubbing spine ends and lower extremities, spine lightly toned; small former owner stamp to front pastedown. Greatest Giants of Them All gives chapter-long biographies to some of the most famous Giants players in MLB history. The author, Arnold Hano, is perhaps best known for his book A Day in the Bleachers, which gives a first-hand account of Game 1 of the 1954 World Series, in which Willie Mays made his famous over-the-shoulder catch. This copy is signed by three Hall of Famers who played for the Giants: Monte Irvin, Hoyt Wilhelm, and Juan Marichal. Irvin was one of the first African American players to break the color line, joining the MLB in 1947.
