This concert tour program was released during the Beatles' 1964 North American Tour. After first coming to the US in February of 1964 and making their famous appearance on The Ed Sullivan Show, the group returned to the US in August for a 25-city tour. The tour spawned a lot of significant events in the Beatles' storied history, including the recording of what would later be released as The Beatles at the Hollywood Bowl, and their legendary encounter with Bob Dylan and marijuana. This tour program includes a section of photos taken during the E.M.I. recording sessions for "With the Beatles," and various other photos of the quartet taken in hotels, dressing rooms, and concerts. This copy is signed by the legendary guitar player and inventor, Les Paul. Notably, George Harrison was gifted a Les Paul guitar by Eric Clapton during the 1968 White Album sessions, and it can be heard on the Beatles' recording of "While My Guitar Gently Weeps." This guitar, nicknamed "Lucy" and previously owned by John Sebastian and Rick Derringer, is one of the most famous electric guitars in the history of rock and roll. Item #LPB001
