Signed and inscribed by Ginsberg on the title page: "Allen Ginsberg / For Ron Benham / 3/24/83 / Cambridge". Additionally inscribed by Ginsberg on inside of front wrapper: "Send Tape Please! POB 582 Stuyvesant / Station / N.Y. 10009 N.Y." Publisher's white and red wrappers, with a grainy photo of Ginsberg to front wrapper. A hint of soiling to spine, else fine. Overall, a uniquely inscribed copy, with Ginsberg's address. This special "Kerouac Issue" of Soundings East is a transcription of the 1973 Salem State College symposium on Kerouac, moderated by Professor Jay McHale, and featuring prominent Beats like Allen Ginsberg, Gregory Corso, and Peter Orlovsky. In the Preface, the editors write, "The current revival of interest in Kerouac had not yet taken hold and the symposium became one of the events which stimulated new interest in Kerouac." Item #JK058
