Near fine, with light toning to spine, very mild rubbing to spine ends, and a tiny bit of staining to rear board. Overall, an exceptionally lovely and fresh copy. The War of the Worlds is H. G. Wells' famous novel about an extraterrestrial invasion of Earth, narrated by an unnamed British protagonist. The book is divided into two parts: "Book One: The Coming of the Martians" and "Book Two: The Earth Under the Martians." Notably, this first American edition of War of the Worlds is also the first illustrated edition.
