Country Hardball is the life story of the MLB Hall of Famer, Enos Slaughter. Nicknamed "Country" because of his North Carolina farming roots, Slaughter won four World Series, two apiece with the St. Louis Cardinals (1942, 1946) and the New York Yankees (1956, 1958), and was a 10-time All-Star. In the 1946 World Series against the Boston Red Sox, Slaughter scored the winning run in a gutsy play known as the "Mad Dash." This play was ranked #10 in Sporting News' Baseball's 25 Greatest Moments (1999).
