Hard Cover. Florence: Privately Printed, 1928. Very Good.
Early pirated edition, in black moiré-patterned cloth with paper spine label, and title page printed in red and black. Very good with light fraying to corners and a postcard affixed to ffep, else a tight and clean copy. Widely considered to be Lawrence's masterpiece, Lady Chatterley's Lover was banned in both Britain and the US, inciting high demand for pirated copies. This pirated edition was likely photographically reproduced from the original Tipografia Giuntina first edition, as it contains all typographical errors and text ending on page 365 (Roberts A42a).
