In Tales from the Dodger Dugout, Carl Erskine relays anecdotes about the legendary "Boys of Summer" Brooklyn Dodgers team of the mid-50s, which included such baseball greats as Jackie Robinson, Pee Wee Reese, Duke Snyder, and Roy Campanella. Erskine, a great pitcher and key piece of the team, played his entire career with the Brooklyn/LA Dodgers (1948-1959). He set a World Series record in 1953 with 14 strikeouts in Game 3 against the Yankees and won a World Series against them in 1955.
