The Tailor of Gloucester is a children's book that tells the story of a tailor who is aided in a time of stress by a team of kindly mice who assist him by stealthily completing his sewing while he is away. Potter, who based the story on the experiences of a tailor named Mr. Prichard, considered this to be her favorite of her children's stories.
