Lauriat in blue-green morocco, geometric shapes in gilt to boards, five raised bands to spine, spine lettered, ruled, and decorated in gilt, all edges gilt, gilt turn-ins, and marbled endpapers. About fine, with light toning to spine and front board, bottom corners lightly bumped, and some offsetting to margins of endpapers. Overall, a magnificent binding. Organized in order of the birth years of each poet, this collection seeks to illustrate the range and development of English-language prose up until the early 20th century.
