Soft Cover. New York: Dramatists Play Service, Inc., 1985. Very Good.
Later reprint. Publisher's green paper wrappers printed in black, staple-bound. A very good copy with a crease to both wrappers, dampstain to upper right corner of rear wrapper, rubbing to extremities. Overall, a nice copy of this classic play. A View from the Bridge tells the story of Italian-American Eddie Carbone as he harbors two family members who have immigrated to the United States illegally. The play first appeared alongside A Memory of Two Mondays in its first edition, and was produced by Martin Ritt on September 29, 1955 at the Coronet Theatre in New York. Despite Miller's reverence for the format of the one-act play, in which A View from the Bridge was originally produced, he later revised it to include two acts, as it is presented in this volume.
