The Tale of Mr. Jeremy Fisher is a children's book by Beatrix Potter about a frog who endeavors to fish for minnows, so he can host a dinner party for his friends. Though he goes to his usual spot, Jeremy encounters a host of obstacles, including a rat hiding nearby, a stickleback fish who pricks his fingers, and a trout who nearly eats him. Notably, the book features Potter's detailed and charming botanical illustrations, which were inspired by those of the noted naturalist illustrator Randolph Caldecott.
