First edition, first printing of Churchill's second book. One of only 2000 copies. Two volumes. Original publisher's blue cloth, lettered and with pictorial illustrations in gilt. Frontispieces, folding maps and plans, line drawings by Angus McNeill, photogravure portraits. Some rubbing and mostly to edges, spines bright, hinges tender and secure, some light foxing, former owner signature to first blank of volume II, else a bright and much nicer than usual copy. A very good set. Each volume preserved in a custom folding case and housed in a slipcase.
