Wilder, Thornton
Autograph Letter Signed
Soft Cover, Fine.Handwritten letter. Two pages. Written on letterhead addressed: Post Office Box 862/ Edgartown, Massachusetts 02539. An excellent letter written by Wilder on "November - maybe 11 - 1972." Wilder replies to a letter from actor, William Redfield (One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest). Redfield requested the rights to produce "The Skin of Our Teeth" on Broadway. Wilder replied that the film was already in the works. Wilder expresses concern that if New York Times critic, Clive Barnes gave a "bad review", it could damage the movie. He also mentions other various productions including one taking place in Stockbridge, MA presenting "some unrecognizable goings-on with Anne Bancroft." A lengthy letter with excellent content.
