Marbled pages edges and endpapers. Small owner bookplate to front pastedown of each volume. Some rubbing and wear, mostly to edges, and light bumping to corners. Generally, a very tight and clean set. Minstrelsy marked Scott's true literary debut, written and published as a collection of the traditional ballads that Scott had been collecting in yearly trips to the Borders since 1792. Overall, a very attractive copy of the first edition of Scott's first major work.
