First edition. Two volumes. 16 pages of ads at the rear of vol II dated June, 1857. Original dark grayish purple cloth. Floral patterns stamped in blind to covers, spines stamped in blind with two sets of small panels, each containing a floral design. Spines sunned with some wear at spine ends, edges lightly rubbed. Vol I: hinges slightly cracked and secure, small paper remnants to upper part of front cover and lower spine, two very small stains to spines. A very clean and tight unsophisticated set without usual restoration or repairs.
